Casting Call - The Elmira Case

It's been a while, folks! We've had our heads buried in a number of projects and there are updates on the way. In the meantime - here is a casting call for our latest project:

The Elmira Case is a short documentary about a vandalism case in 1974 that changed the way people around the world thought about justice. Part of the film will be re-enactments of key characters and events in 1974 which necessitates period costumes and props. Shooting will take place in Waterloo Region.

There are NO speaking lines so emoting with the eyes is important.
Shooting will take place in mid-May, 2014.

Young Russ - Caucasian
Seventeen-years-old, angry and confused, but a good kid at heart. He has had a hard life and is unleashing his anger and confusion in a night of alcohol, drugs, and destruction. [Lean, dark hair preferable. Ability to smoke a cigarette is an asset.] **Shoot days: 2 day, 1 night

Friend - Caucasian
Similar to Russ - reckless, confused teenager who drinks and parties too much. He is the instigator to the vandalism spree. **Shoot days: 2 day, 1 night

Young Mark - Caucasian
Idealistic probation officer in his late twenties - kind-hearted, compassionate, smart. He wants to give these two young punks a chance to be accountable for their actions and learn their lesson. [Beard is an asset] **Shoot days: 1 day

Young Bill Crane - Caucasian
A high school math teacher in his early 30s, Bill is a straight-laced, no-nonsense kind of teacher. Neatly dressed, punctual, walks out the door to go to work to find his tires slashed. [Stocky build, moustache?] **Shoot days: 1 day

Police Officer - Caucasian
Mid-forties, a veteran in the force,  he pulls over two youth who are drunk driving and gives them a break - he confiscates their beer and tells them to go home.
**Shoot days: 1 day, 1 night.
